Cameron's Sunshine and Promises

Possibly the oddest speech of the conference season so far was David Cameron's to the Conservative Party Conference today. A very strange closing line about sunshine winning the day made me stop and think. I'm not sure what about, but it made think.

The speech was leaked well in advance, so no surprises, no ideas and ultimately no point.

A total and utter waste of time. I wish I hadn't watched it. The Sky coverage was terrible. When will Redwood realise that nobody wants him on TV

I agree on the Redwood point. He really is a busted flush. No time for him in the Conservative party. He is yesterday's man.

Cameron's speech repopened the door for Brown. Wouldn't be surprised if the polls next week are all showing a Labour lead.

You are out of your mind. I predict Cameron takes a 4 point bump out of this week. Then just sit tight and watch the socialists blow themsleves up.

WHERE ARE THE POLICIES? Is this guy all spin?

Anon,12:25 - you have a good point but (and it has taken me a long time to reach this conclusion) DC is right to hold back right now because the only thing that will happen is that Labour will steal all his policies. I do want to know what the Tory policies are but they are still being thought of (as has been known since Cameron was elected as leader).
