Trevor Phillips Isn't Helpful

I've grown more and more irritated by Trevor Phillips over the last few years. Now, as head of the Commission for Racial Equality, he has gone too far. I have no idea which side of the debate Mr. Phillips is on as he talks out of both sides of his mouth and is impossible to pin down. His comments this weekend about the potential for race riots over the veil debate are fuel to the fire and could make riots that little bit more likely.

He should be really careful - here in Bradford there must be hundreds of White youths just waiting for a chance to have a go at the troublesome yobs Phillips seeks to inflame.

With West Yorkshire only having an Acting-Chief Constable - and a dotty woman at that - it seems Phillips is being inspired by his cronies in govt so they can use The Civil Contingencies Act and not have to burn down the Reichstag

I wouldn't go that far anonymous, but he is definitely using his platform in a pretty questionable manner.

Nigel, I'm not sure there is anyway to use a platform entitled "Comission for Radical Equality" in anyway that isn't questionable.

There won't be any whites fighting in Birmingham. It was blacks v Asians last year and next timeit will be Somalians v Asians. Trevor is in fact correct - but it is Labour's fault that things look likely to worsen.
